BlitzReels is an AI-powered video editing platform focused on transforming existing long-form recordings into short-form social content. Users can import YouTube videos or upload recordings such as podcasts, webinars, Zoom calls, Looms, tutorials, demos, and course lessons. Its AI analyzes the source recording, including the transcript and video structure, and identifies moments that can work as standalone short-form content. The platform can then create multiple clips, add captions, reframe the speaker for vertical formats, remove silence and mistakes, and prepare the resulting videos for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. BlitzReels combines automated clipping with a browser-based professional timeline editor. Users can manually trim, split, rearrange, adjust captions, insert B-roll, modify audio, apply transitions, change aspect ratios, and undo AI-generated changes before exporting. This keeps the AI workflow editable rather than locking users into automatically generated results. The platform also includes an AI Agent Editor that accepts natural-language editing instructions. Users can request operations such as removing silences, correcting captions, or making other multi-step changes, with more than 28 editing tools available to the agent. Beyond repurposing existing recordings, BlitzReels includes AI Studio capabilities for generating images, videos, music, sounds, voiceovers, and faceless-video workflows. It currently supports multiple third-party generative models, including video-generation models from providers such as Kling, MiniMax, Luma, Google Veo, xAI Grok, and Sora 2 through fal.ai. BlitzReels also exposes its editing infrastructure through a REST API, OpenAPI specification, TypeScript SDK, CLI, and agent skills. Developers and AI agents can create projects, upload media, generate clips, edit timelines and captions, insert B-roll, and export finished videos programmatically.
