AI SEO & content platform for becoming the answer.

RankControl is an AI-powered SEO and AEO/GEO platform that researches content opportunities, generates and publishes optimized content on a customer's own domain, tracks Google and AI-search visibility, monitors citations and competitors, analyzes traffic, and automates backlink and content workflows.

What is RankControl?

RankControl is an AI-powered search visibility platform designed for brands that want to appear both in traditional Google search results and in answers generated by AI search engines. The platform combines conventional SEO with Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). Its goal is not only to help a website rank for keywords, but also to increase the likelihood that AI systems such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok, and Google AI Mode mention or cite the brand. RankControl begins with a discovery layer called Radar. Radar identifies buyer questions and search opportunities where competitors are being mentioned but the customer's brand is missing. These opportunities are then used to prioritize content creation. The platform's Forge content engine creates long-form content designed around the questions and gaps identified during research. Articles can be brand-matched and citation-oriented, and RankControl supports more than 20 content formats. Generated content can be reviewed and approved before publication. Approved articles are published as native posts on the customer's own domain rather than being hosted on a RankControl subdomain. The platform integrates with WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Ghost, Framer, Wix, Notion, Next.js, and other publishing environments. RankControl's Sentinel monitoring layer tracks AI citations, mentions, competitors, and search visibility. The platform currently monitors six AI/search environments: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Google AI Mode. Its Citation Signals capability identifies when an AI engine cites a customer's brand or a competitor. This provides visibility into which questions produce brand mentions and which competitors are receiving the citations that the customer wants to win. The platform also monitors AI crawlers. RankControl can identify crawler activity from systems such as GPTBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, and Google-Extended, helping website owners detect whether AI systems can actually access their published pages. RankControl includes website analytics covering traffic, visitors, sessions, engagement, AI-referred visits, AI crawler activity, rankings, and Search Console data. AI referrals can be attributed to the assistant that sent the visitor, allowing teams to distinguish traffic originating from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, and other AI systems. The platform also contains Link Control, which tracks backlinks and manages outreach opportunities. AI can draft outreach emails and manage parts of the link-building workflow, while managed backlinks are available as an additional service. Content maintenance is another component. RankControl can identify pages where rankings or AI citations decline and flag them for refresh. Content refreshes remain subject to the customer's approval workflow rather than automatically changing published content without review. RankControl is heavily designed for AI-agent operation. Its developer surfaces include a CLI, REST API, and MCP server. The MCP server exposes more than 70 tools covering visibility data, content generation and publishing, reports, repurposing, backlinks, social workflows, brand memory, and team management. The RankControl CLI provides commands for analytics, reports, content ideas, content operations, agent activity, traffic, and other workflows. CLI output is JSON, making it suitable for scripts and AI-agent workflows. The MCP and API security model includes scoped API keys, server-side permissions, rate limits, revocation, and dry-run defaults for actions that create public side effects. Publishing, social posting, outreach sending, Link Network changes, and team invitations require an explicit confirmation step. RankControl follows a single-plan commercial model rather than offering multiple feature tiers. The current public pricing states $400/month, or $4,000/year when billed annually, after a 30-day free trial. The website currently displays the trial signup as $0 due today. A dedicated strategist is available as a $1,500/month add-on, while managed backlinks are offered as a $350/month add-on.
